Airo Ultralight Climbing Helmet

The Airo Ultralight Climbing Helmet is the first included carbon fibre climbing helmet in the world. It is lightweight yet very strong than fellow products. The Airo Helmet won the Asian Outdoor Industry Award in 2017. At that time it was only a prototype with a smaller carbon fibre shell. Kailas has still worked hard on improving the product for 3 more years until public release in 2020. Constructed with a larger shell of high-density carbon fibre, the Airo helmet delivers excellent impact resistance from above. The lightweight environment-friendly expanded polypropylene (EPP) foam delivers excellent shock absorption. The inner airflow system with 6 curvy vents redirects the wind inside, expel moisture and heat from the inside. Finally, the front arch is slightly upward improving the vision while looking up. The Airo is made with climbing in mind but it's still highly recommended for ski touring and alpinism.
