New baby at Stone, this shape clearly shows the will to offer always more freeride boards in the range. Surfing & snowboarding come together, that's why this winter we released this new splitboard lighter than last year to allow a better tip roll & take full advantage of the splitboard both on the way up & down. Usually what we can criticize splitboards for is the heaviness of the skis... this will not be the case on all our new range.
Camber details: Hybrid Camber (classic that pulls flat) + Rocker. The choice of camber is important, even paramount on a splitboard for climbing & conversions.

What is meant by flex?
It's the way a board tends to flex. At Stone we rate it from 0 to 10. The stiffer a board is the more it is destined to send & less forgiving. On the other hand, the softer a board is, the less reactive it will be in relaunching but will forgive you some mistakes. The softer a board is at the beginning, the more it will become a real uncooked sausage during the sessions. At Stone we consider that riding a board that is a bit stiff at the beginning is really optimal. Why? The core of a board is always built up over the days, weeks, months that you ride it. At Stone, a Flex 7 is considered a good alternative to go anywhere. We will then gravitate between the 6 & the 8 to lean more or less towards a particular desire as for the flex.
Flex 8: Attributed to freeride snowboards to have a strong boost & a gripping grip. Sometimes, the stiffer it is, the less forgiving it can be, you need to be solid on your legs. In splitboard, this flex is also for the amateurs of boards which do not move in the axis or in conversions. The flex is always made to the rider.
The STONY Skins can only be installed on Stone splitboards. No other brand of skins will fit as well as these on your stone splitboard.
Premium Mixmohair is suitable for all types of terrain and all types of snow. It offers longevity and perfect grip, even for multiple ascents. The new KOHLA Fiberseal Technology makes it possible to obtain a thin, very robust and completely waterproof skin which, thanks to its small size, adapts to all hiking backpacks.
Maximum flexibility is also ensured by the "Smart Glue", a newly developed state-of-the-art adhesive that guarantees easy handling and easy removal of skins, even when putting them on and taking them off repeatedly. The main advantage of the new Fiber Seal construction is a 3-layer water resistant system with no cotton-polyester layer on the bottom.
Overall, the skins are: cut to measure in length & width, mohair mix 65% 35% nylon, smart glue technology (Smart Glue) and regluable, The skins are made in Austria.
